At Shopable, transaction security and customer convenience are our top priorities. That’s why we chose Stripe as our primary payment operator—an international platform supporting millions of businesses worldwide.
With this integration, your customers can use a wide range of payment methods, including:
Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
Digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay)
BLIK and quick transfers (depending on the customer's location)
Local payment methods (e.g., iDEAL, Bancontact)
Preparation
The payment activation process takes place primarily on Stripe's side. Before you begin, prepare the data required to verify your identity and business:
Tip: To speed up the process, have your company's Tax ID (NIP/VAT ID), the bank account number (IBAN) for payouts, and the identity document of the company representative ready.
Connecting your Stripe account
The integration is fully automated. To connect your store with the payment operator:
Log in to your Shopable panel.
Go to Settings and select Payment gateways.
Click the Connect with Stripe button.
You will be redirected to Stripe’s secure registration page.
Configuration on the operator's side
The Stripe form will guide you through the verification process. This is a standard procedure required by financial regulations (KYC/AML) to ensure security for you and your customers.
While filling out the form, you will be asked for:
Contact details: Email address and phone number for two-step verification.
Company information: Name, address, registration number (Tax ID/Company No.), and legal form.
Owner/Representative details: First name, last name, date of birth.
Payout details: The bank account number where Stripe will transfer sales funds.
Business information: A short description of what you sell and your Shopable store address.
After completing all fields and submitting the form, you will be automatically redirected back to the Shopable panel. The integration status in the Payment gateways tab will change to "Active".
From this moment, your store is ready to accept secure payments.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need to provide private data like a personal ID number or ID scan? As a licensed financial institution, Stripe is legally required to verify the identity of its users ("Know Your Customer"). This data is sent directly to Stripe and is protected by the highest encryption standards. Shopable does not have access to it.
When will I receive money from customers? The payout schedule depends on your Stripe account settings. Typically, the first payout may take up to 7 days (time needed for full account verification), and subsequent payouts are processed on a daily or weekly cycle.
